In light of the recent news regarding women and girls in our city being violated (see link below), Professor Diana Trang ("Professor" meaning "teacher" in Brazilian Portuguese), has organized this online seminar in effort to teach others how they can defend themselves through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a martial art originating from Brazil to which she holds a black belt rank.

No previous experience is required to register. Participants will learn valuable self defense techniques and will also be taught the value of adopting these on-going practices for life.

This is a free event to anyone who may be experiencing financial barriers, however, Prof. Diana encourages everyone who is able to donate, to donate.  Proceeds will go towards her non-profit initiative: Kula Projects YYC, which serves to provide financial aid and accessibility to wellness for individuals and/or families who are experiencing difficult times.

To get maximum benefit from this online seminar, we suggest for families to work in pairs, as true self defense does require the practice of performing techniques with another person in order to be most effective.  If you are unable to find another person in your household, please feel free to join anyways!  There will be lots to take-away.
