In light of the ongoing assaults in our city and in our communities, Professor Diana Trang is passionate about empowerent and teaching others how they can defend themselves through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a martial art originating from Brazil to which she holds a black belt rank. ("Professor" references a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, translating as "teacher" in Brazilian Portuguese) .

---------------------------------------------

Professor Diana has been in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community for 20 years. Over this time, Diana has taken part in the growth of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Canada and is one of the first female pioneers of BJJ in Western Canada.  She often volunteers her time to teach at community events and collaborates with many non-profits and charities in YYC.  When she is not running these events, she is regularly teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Self Defense classes to adults and kids at her studio, Satori Wellness Studio, which is a social impact business that she owns and operates.  She is an advocate in the trauma community, passionately advocates for safe, healthy, and empowering health practices, represents women in a male-dominated sport, and is a proud mother to 2 beautiful boys. Prof. Diana has also competed and successfully won many local and international BJJ competitions.
